Location: Abadan is situated some 50km from the entrance to Arvand Rud (Shatt-al-Arab) waterway on the Iran-Iraq border. The port handles general cargo, clinker, cement, fruits, foodstuff and oil products. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Max 3,500DWT, max draught 4.2m.
OVERVIEW: A river port handling bulk liquids, dry bulk and breakbulk cargo.
LOCATION: On the eastern bank of the Shatt-al-Arab on the Iran/Iraq border, approx. 40 n.m. upriver from the entrance and 30 n.m. downriver from Basrah.
